The library's International collection

With books in almost 50 languages, Sølvberget has got one of Norway's biggest collections of foreign-language literature.
The International collection is for those who wish to read literature in other languages than Norwegian. We offer books in almost 50 languages, for adults, children and teenagers.
More than 50.000 books
The Library offer literature for ethnic minorities, for tourists or for Norwegians who are learning or interested in different languages. Not included in this figure is our English collection whose number is close to 30.000! We are also actively looking for audio books in the languages, as well as movies from around the world.
Our goal is that the International collection should be as representative, real and exciting as possible. We are dependent on borrowers, so we thankfully welcome all requests and tips for new books, magazines and newspapers. Sølvberget has also got a large collection of world music and films from a broad spectre of countries.
